Tobia Scarpa (Venice, January 1, 1935) is an Italian architect, designer and restorer.
He worked for most of his career alongside his wife Afra Bianchin.
Their works can be found in many museums in the United States and Europe, including the MoMA and the Louvre. He has collaborated with companies such as B & B Italia, San Lorenzo Silver and Knoll International. He has also been awarded numerous honors and prizes such as the Compasso d'Oro in 1969 and the International Forum Design in 1992. The couple's design work consists of architecture and everyday objects including furniture, clothing, interior design and glass work.
In their designs they focused on the technical and aesthetic possibilities of the materials used. Tobia was greatly influenced by his father, the architect and designer Carlo Scarpa.
