The work portrays the Mona Lisa by L.da Vinci also known as Mona Lisa datable between 1503 and 1506 when Leonardo had just turned 50.Preserved in the Louvre Museum in Paris, it is one of the most important paintings famous in the world, an icon of Western art and a symbol of perfection.
The famous enigmatic expression comes mainly from the eyes and from the smile, that smile that Vasari defines «so fascinating to appear more divine than human ». “You can write pages describing the smile of the Gioconda, but the same smile as Leonardo painted it can never be translated into words (Erich Fromm) "
